Read through the Bible, Day 300

Good morning. Today’s reading in Luke offers vignettes of Jesus’ teaching on the power of faith, the responsibility of humble servants, the sudden coming of the kingdom, and the value of persistent prayer.

Before you begin

Ask the Lord to give you a fresh sense of wonder as you read His Word. Pray for understanding and for an open, humble, obedient heart to receive what He wants to say to you.

Read

Luke 17–18

Review

Write a sentence or two about what you've just read. This could be a summary of the passage or an observation or highlight that stood out to you.

Reflect

Like the one healed leper who returned to give thanks, pause now and name specific ways Jesus has cleansed and forgiven you. Let gratitude draw you closer to Him.

Gratitude places us in close proximity to Christ, where we experience the fullness of His redeeming power and enjoy the blessing of His presence. —Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth1

Respond

Write a short prayer, based on today’s reading. This could include praise, gratitude, personal confession, agreement with the truth, or a request for yourself or someone else.
