Read through the Bible, Day 28

In today's reading, the Lord gives instructions on sin offerings, guilt offerings, grain offerings, and burnt offerings—showing how seriously He takes even unintentional sins but also His grace in providing ways to restore fellowship.

Before you begin

Ask the Lord to give you a fresh sense of wonder as you read His Word. Pray for understanding and for an open, humble, obedient heart to receive what He wants to say to you.

Read

Leviticus 4–6

Review

Write a sentence or two about what you've just read. This could be a summary of the passage or an observation or highlight that stood out to you.

Reflect

What practices might help you live more consciously aware of God’s forgiveness of your sins?

"Looking back on those days from the other side of the cross, aren’t you glad to be able to enjoy as accomplished fact what Old Testament believers could only anticipate by faith? All those elements of their worship—the blood, the sacrifice, the temple, the Holy Place—were symbols and shadows of a greater reality still to come." —Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth1

Respond

Write a short prayer, based on today’s reading. This could include praise, gratitude, personal confession, agreement with the truth, or a request for yourself or someone else.
