As we reach the end of the Old Testament, Malachi calls God’s people to repentance and warns them of judgment, while also pointing to the coming Messenger—Jesus Christ—who will purify, restore, and bring salvation. After this final prophecy, God remained silent for four hundred years until the promised Messiah was born.
