Nahum proclaims God’s justice against Nineveh, bringing hope to His people that He will end their oppressor’s cruelty. His message, delivered during a dark time, offers comfort: God sees every act of injustice, hears the cries of the oppressed, and will act in righteousness.

O Lord, You chasten Your people for their good and by various means, but how grateful we are that Your discipline will not last forever.
