Read through the Bible, Day 252

Daniel remained faithful to God, even under the threat of the lions’ den. Today’s passage reminds us that while earthly rulers rise and fall, God’s kingdom endures forever, and our faithfulness to Him provides an opportunity for His power to be displayed.

Before you begin

Ask the Lord to give you a fresh sense of wonder as you read His Word. Pray for understanding and for an open, humble, obedient heart to receive what He wants to say to you.

Read

Daniel 5–6

Review

Write a sentence or two about what you've just read. This could be a summary of the passage or an observation or highlight that stood out to you.

Reflect

How does Daniel’s example of faithfulness challenge the way you respond to pressures or threats in your own life?

You can’t have any better position than being a servant of the Most High God. —Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth1

Respond

Write a short prayer, based on today’s reading. This could include praise, gratitude, personal confession, agreement with the truth, or a request for yourself or someone else.
