Read through the Bible, Day 11

January 11, 2026

As a prisoner in Egypt, though forgotten and facing false accusations, Joseph remained faithful to the Lord. In His perfect timing, God raised up Joseph and made him fruitful in the land of his affliction.

Before you begin

Ask the Lord to give you a fresh sense of wonder as you read His Word. Pray for understanding and for an open, humble, obedient heart to receive what He wants to say to you.

Read

Genesis 39–41

Review

Write a sentence or two about what you've just read. This could be a summary of the passage or an observation or highlight that stood out to you.

Reflect

Joseph resisted temptation—not because it was unappealing but because he valued his relationship with God more. Is there an area in which you're struggling to value God more than the temptation in front of you?

"Joseph refused to fall prey to the advances of his boss’s wife, because he recognized that if he yielded, he would not merely be wronging the woman and her husband; he would not just violate his own conscience and tarnish his own reputation. He was restrained by the knowledge that his sin would be against God." —Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth1

Respond

Write a short prayer, based on today’s reading. This could include praise, gratitude, personal confession, agreement with the truth, or a request for yourself or someone else.
