Social Media Specialist

Remote or Niles, Michigan | Full-time

The Social Media Specialist assists in creating and producing content for Revive Our Hearts' social media channels, with a strong emphasis on short-form video such as Reels and Shorts. Working under the direction of the Social Media Manager, this individual supports the overall social media strategy by adapting podcasts, blog posts, campaigns, and other ministry resources into engaging, platform-specific content. The role also contributes to content calendar maintenance, asset organization, post scheduling, and basic graphic design as needed.

Responsibilities

Community Engagement
The Specialist engages with the Revive Our Hearts online community across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, X, and additional platforms, responding to comments and direct messages in a manner that reflects the ministry's voice, values, and commitment to biblical encouragement. Sensitive questions or situations are escalated to the Social Media Manager in accordance with established ministry guidelines.

Qualifications
This position requires a legal right to work in the United States.

• Experience as a social media specialist or in a similar role
• Experience creating and editing short-form video content
• Strong knowledge of social media platforms, current trends, and effective messaging
• Working knowledge of Canva and content scheduling software
• Strong interpersonal, written communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills
• Project management experience is a plus

Additional Requirements
The ability to work both collaboratively and independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines is essential. Occasional response to time-sensitive social media needs outside normal working hours, including evenings or weekends, may be required.
