Think of Him

February 24, 2025 Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth

There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved. —Acts 4:12

The reason there is salvation in no one else, in “no other name” but the name of Jesus, is that no one’s good works can do what only God can do. Because Jesus is God.

Revisiting the time of our salvation—when the Holy Spirit convinced us that the gospel was true and called us to believe in Christ—can reinvigorate us. When sin may be dulling us or when doing good may be tiring us, going back to the time and place of our rebirth can restore in us that which is fading.

Yet far greater than our personal experience of salvation is the exhilarating thought of the Savior upon whom we have believed. God in the flesh. Jesus! The one way to God. The only way to God. Celebrate the day of your salvation and take whatever fresh hope and encouragement you can from that memory. But more than that, think of Him whom you met that day.

What memories do you have of life right before and soon after you believed in Christ?
