“I am with you always, to the end of the age.” —Matthew 28:20
Regardless of a believer’s circumstance or situation, through discipleship a Christ follower should move from foolishness of an unexamined life to wisdom of a life submitted to Christ; moving from chaos, rebellion, and destruction to shalom.
This imprint of wisdom on those who dwell with Christ—whether in the garden pre-rebellion or after the cross in redemption—creates the byproduct shalom. It creates a supernatural peace and patience deep within marked by the blessings of presence, provision, and peace, and is easily recognized by those who have known its inexplicable comfort. Our heads become clear, and we think with new eyes, able to discern wisdom from folly at the precise moment when we need wisdom most. . . .
The assurance of deep, Spirit-wrought wisdom that accompanies our most difficult trials and tragedies is one of the ways that Christ is with us to the very end of the age; one of the myriad ways in which He fulfills the promise to never leave us alone.
