The Joys of Serving Christ

Paul, a bond-servant of Christ Jesus, called as an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God. —Romans 1:1 NASB

Since I first became a willing slave to Christ as a young girl, I can hardly begin to calculate the incredible gifts and joys He has lavished upon me. What a privilege it is:

• To know and love Him, and to be known and loved by Him.
• To have His companionship at all hours of the day and night.
• To live under His watchful, protective care.
• To bring Him pleasure.
• To be entrusted with the infinite riches of His glorious gospel and to be called to make it known to others.
• To have an eternal home awaiting me in heaven.
• To serve alongside so many precious fellow servants.
• To have assisted in the birth and nurture of countless spiritual children.

These are just a handful of the treasures I have received from His hand. Would I not be a fool to leave His service and choose to serve anything or anyone else in this world?
