“Repent and turn back, so that your sins may be wiped out, that seasons of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.” —Acts 3:19–20
Do you live with constant pressure and anxiety? Do the ways you seek relief leave you unsatisfied and still stressed? According to Acts 3:20, “seasons of refreshing” come from “the presence of the Lord.” What an apt description of revival! God invites us to come to His presence. There—and only there—will we find genuine rest.
A revived life is marked by God-centered thinking. It renews the mind. We begin to view things from His perspective rather than from our own limited and natural vantage point.
Someone has described revival as a “complete takeover” where God is returned to His rightful place as Lord of our lives. Old habits are put away, and new ones are established. Resentment and despair are buried and replaced with contentment and hope. Forgiveness flows freely.
As we turn back to God and seek His presence, revival begins—healing, restoring, and renewing every part of our lives. Step into His presence and let God take over.
