A level-headed, long-view sense of steadiness is one of the greatest blessings you can bring to your family, your church, your work environment, and anywhere else that can sometimes be characterized by hostility and conflict.
Why do people lose control? Why do we ourselves sometimes lose control? Because we’re crying out for someone to take control, somebody to make everything right! And yet all our situations, even the most stressful and unsolvable ones, are already under Someone’s control.
Most people don’t operate from this paradigm, and so they scramble and fume and vent and quit. But your belief in Heaven’s rule can make your calm voice the loudest one in the room. You can remain steadfast and calm in a culture that is chaotic and out of control.
