Places of Abundance

January 10, 2026 Margarita Michelén

He keeps us alive and does not allow our feet to slip. —Psalm 66:9

Someone once said, “The most important thing in life is to live it.” However, life doesn’t depend on us but on the One who created us and has promised us life in abundance. During our time here, we go through various experiences that God uses to make us like His Son and prepare us for eternal life, which is precisely the goal of our existence.

Like Israel, God will lead us through deserts, rugged mountains, and dark tunnels. He will take us through fire, and at other times, He will allow water to reach our necks. He will place difficult people in our path, and at times, He will make us carry heavy burdens tailored to our needs.

What is the goal of all this? To make us seek Him and not lean on anyone or anything else. Only then will we experience true abundance: “the fullness of the one who fills all things in every way” (Eph. 1:23).

Make it Personal

In what areas of life do you find yourself leaning on people, circumstances, or your own strength instead of on the Lord?
