Let Go

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding; in all your ways know him, and he will make your paths straight. —Proverbs 3:5–6

People who aren’t convinced that Heaven rules have a tendency to think God’s job must be theirs. But what a burden playing God can become. And what a gift to know it’s not required of us. The pressure to change people, the nagging for our voice to be heard, the manipulation for gaining time and advantage—they’re gone. Consider their reign at an end. You and I can live without all of them, once we truly believe our God is ruling from heaven and is working everything toward His superior purposes.

Instead of spinning our wheels to get others moving at our speed and in our direction, we can trust Him, stay in our place, and pray. We will give up trying to control people and circumstances because we truly believe that Heaven rules.
