He Will Hold You Fast

December 19, 2021 Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth

Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy. —Jude 24

As we think about how the foundation of the world seems to have been shaking through the events of the last several years, sometimes we can feel as if we’re losing our grip. Maybe you’ve had periods when you feel alone, isolated, and weary, like you just can’t keep holding on.

At the end of the day, however, it doesn’t so much matter whether you can manage to hold fast to Christ. What matters is that He has promised to hold fast to you. That’s where your hope comes from!

In this shaking, quaking world, our one unshakable, unchanging reality is that Christ will never let us go. Know that whatever you’re going through right now and whatever you may go through down the road—a week, a month, a year, or ten years from now—Jesus has promised to hold you fast.

Choose to receive this promise and say, “Yes, Lord, I believe that You will hold me fast both today and in the future.”
