We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God. —Romans 8:28
Christ’s will for us is a will of love. Even in the midst of our pain. Even in the midst of sorrow. Even in the midst of loss that stretches us beyond what we think can bear, Wisdom is there. His redemption of all things makes His will a will of purpose, perfecting, Pentecost, and power.
No death, no resurrection. No resurrection, no Pentecost. No Pentecost, no power. No power, no perseverance. No perseverance, no perfection in glory. All things come from Him, even the perseverance, even the power, even the perfection, and yes . . . even the trial.
Be assured that God does not delight in the trial. . . . He is only pleased in that the trial is useful in establishing His purposes. He does not delight in our terror, our fear, our pain. He did not delight in His own. But He endured for the sake of the eternal mindset.
Whatever it is, God has allowed it for a reason. Let’s wait on Him to see what it is.
