Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him, because we know that Christ, having been raised from the dead, will not die again. —Romans 6:8–9
The death of Jesus meant the end of many things. For Jesus it meant the end of suffering, the end of confinement to a human body, and the end of living in a place where sin abounds. For us it meant the end of condemnation, the lifting of the curse.
The death of Jesus fulfilled the Father’s will by meeting His just demands. When Jesus returned to His side, hell was conquered and the grave lost its threat. Yet beyond what was defeated by His death there is gloriously more that was established through Christ’s resurrection.
God is not waiting on us to do anything more to earn our place at His table. The doorway to paradise stands open with no obstacles or barriers to prevent us from enjoying full fellowship with Him as His sons and daughters.

Thank God that you don’t have to try and “finish” anything to earn a place at His table—Christ has finished it all.
