Consider Him

September 1, 2025 Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth

Consider him who endured such hostility from sinners against himself, so that you won’t grow weary and give up. —Hebrews 12:3

Consider Him—that is the counsel most needed by our generation—and every generation. Christ is the Tonic for tired, troubled hearts. He is Wealth for impoverished souls. He is Life for those who are bored and deadened by endless entertainment and meaningless pursuits. He is Wisdom for the perplexed, Health for the wounded, Freedom for the addicted, and Grace for the guilty. He truly is more than enough!

If today finds you growing weary or faint-hearted, look to Jesus, risen from the dead, victorious over all, waiting at the finish line for you and for all those He has redeemed by His grace. He is the author, the perfecter, and the finisher of your faith, and He is able to sustain you and keep you in the race.

Seek to know Him afresh today, to worship and trust Him. Don’t look to lesser heroes. Look to Him. And find in Him the strength, courage, and grace you need to press on—all the way to the finish line.
