The people who know their God will be strong and take action. —Daniel 11:32
“Heaven rules” is an active theology. It’s not something tucked away in a folder in our mental or doctrinal filing system. We pull it out and use it all the time. We’d better. Because there’s certainly a lot of action being taken against us.
So, are we helpless to do anything about this? Does a “Heaven rules” mindset lead us to a passive, inactive response in the face of evil?
Yes, the enemies of God will take action against the people of God. “But the people who know their God will be strong and take action” (11:32). Not in the same way as our opponents. Not with rancor, not by hurling epithets on social media, not by returning evil for evil, not by placing our hope in political candidates.
Instead of taking action “according to the flesh” (2 Cor. 10:3), we take seriously the assurance of Scripture that “Heaven rules” and that in the end God wins. And then we let that perspective shape everything about how we think, respond, and interact in this world.

How can you let a Heaven rules perspective shape your response to evil and injustice against followers of Christ?
