Notes of encouragement for Nancy and tributes to Robert
Nancy and all those close to Robert, may memories of your time together serving the Lord and one another bring you peace and rest in this difficult time.
I'm praying for you, Nancy. I'm praying as only someone who has "been there" can do. God didn't create us to be ripped apart, either by the sin we inherited or by the separation of our one-flesh partner through death...so it's hard even though we know where Robert and Stottler are. Though we rejoice in the glories they are now experiencing, it makes us yearn all the more to be clothed with our eternal dwelling and in the presence of our precious Lord, where they are now. So I will continue to lift you up as you walk this road. My heart is with you and I send my love.
Nancy. Que El Señor Consuele tu corazón. También para todo el equipo de aviva nuestros corazones, como también los hijos de Robert. Gracias por amar la Palabra de nuestro Fiel, y bondadoso Consolador. Ahora la Redencion es una realidad para Robert. Fortaleza amiga Nancy.💐
I remain confident of this, I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. Psalm 27:13-14. May the Lord continue to strengthen your faith and His presence be with you as you continue to honor Him. grace and peace.
Dear Nancy, You’ve been in my prayers since your first post. My heart goes out to you so much and I wonder what it’s really like to be a widow. I have been strengthened through your faith as you’ve shared on Caringbridge these past few weeks. I will continue to pray for your comfort and strength.

Robert was a beacon of hope and light for His Savior for the many years of his life. I first met Robert during my early years starting Family Research Council and he was a great encourager. Although our paths did not cross often (the last time was sharing a table at the FRC banquet about 15 years ago), I have followed his life and ministry all these years and rejoice in his home going but share in the sorrow of his wife, Nancy. Godspeed and life well-lived, Robert.
Dear Nancy, our Lord is the only one who can turn our sufferings into a devoted song of praise. May He tend to your beloved heart and give your family the peace that can be found only in His immense love for us.
Dear Nancy, I only in the last few days watched some videos of you and your husband and have heard part of your story. May God be close to you in all the coming days, we know we don't grieve as those without hope but we do grieve and I pray for God to be near and dear to you at this time. Sincerely, Laurie
I can't get you out of my mind/heart and prayers since first learning about your precious husband. Oh, the depth of sorrow can't be measured... You touched my heart when ROH began and effected profound change in my life! ..and then came Robert!! Wow! I read 2 of his books and gave one to my son (Robert wrote an inscription to him!!) What a sweet encouragement! I love you, Nancy.
Amada Nancy, no tengo las palabras pero si el corazón para decirte que aun sin conocerte te amo en el Señor, y oro porque vivas el duelo por la partida de Robert y llores lo que sea necesario, se que el Espíritu Santo te sostiene y podrás seguir adelante, no necesitas ser fuerte para que todas veamos eso, te queremos así con la fragilidad de la hermosa mujer que eres y en su momento Dios te hará remontar como las águilas, te abrazo desde mi alma y corazón.
Dear Nancy, I am praying for you, dear sister in Christ. My heart aches for you as you grieve the loss of your Dear Husband. I pray that the Lord's comfort and peace will be abundant.
Although I never met Robert, he has impacted both me and my son. Robert’s voice, both in the written word and in various interviews, is such a strength and comfort to me. He’s a tremendous father figure full of wisdom, humor, and care. I’m grateful for how he laid out simple truths so profoundly. In high school, my son read Lies Men Believe. Although he was not an enthusiastic reader, he really enjoyed Robert’s book. How encouraging it was to me to watch him be shaped by the truth Robert wrote. My son is now a firefighter and a newlywed husband. Before he was married earlier this year, I asked him to read Like a Shepherd. He finished it equipped to shepherd his sweet wife well. He liked the book so much that his wife bought him The Most Important Place on Earth for Christmas. Robert has faithfully passed on the torch of the Gospel to this next generation. What a gift he has given us!
Querida hermana Nancy, es de ejemplo para mi vida, desde hace tiempo que escucho Aviva nuestros corazones, Oro para que Dios siga reconfortando su corazón y el de toda la familia. Dios es bueno y para siempre es su misericordia.
El Señor es mi luz y mi salvación; ¿a quién temeré? El Señor es la fortaleza de mi vida; ¿ de quién tendré miedo? Salmo 27:1 Querida Nancy, soy de Cuenca Ecuador y los mensajes de Aviva nuestros corazones han calado profundamente en mi corazón. Pude conocer su amor hacia su esposo al escucharle . El y su vida han sifo un testimonio maravilloso para ser de ánimo para nosotros. Saber que El ahora está en casa nos llena de gozo a pesar del dolor de su ausencia física. Que nuestro Padre pueda ser el consuelo que necesita en este momento .
Nancy, God gave you a special love that you waited many years for and our hearts feel your loss and you are in our prayers. We carry your program on our network of stations and we know God will bring you comfort and peace as you face loosing Robert. May God hold you close.
