I've just married Sept. 29th 2023 after being widowed since Sept. 14th 2002. So, I can relate to marrying older, I am 68, and to a Godly husband going ahead to His Heavenly home. Nancy, my dear and precious Holy Spirit came and kept me from dying myself. I know that sounds dramatic, but that is just how devastated I was finding my husband dead at age 37. Not one moment did I fail to KNOW that my Lord and Savior still loved me and still had purpose for my life as a single lady. When I cried out in the long dark nights, I KNEW the bright and morning Star was right there next to me in the bed, my husband and I shared. There are untold people lifting you up to our very Prince of shalom peace, not our last hope but our only Hope. I love you and your ministry & KNOW God will use your time of mourning to bring Glory, Honor and Praise to His Holy Name. I'm so sorry for your loss but rejoice in heavens gain! My thoughts and prayers remain with you and all who loved Robert. Psalm 30:5
I am so sorry for your loss Nancy. I just finished reading Grief Observed by C.S. Lewis so I know how difficult the days ahead will be for you . Christ be your comfort.
I have never met you in person, but the Lord placed you in my life during one of the most difficult times I had ever experienced. Your wisdom has had a profound impact upon my life, and I have shared so much of what you’ve taught to my own daughters. So it is with sincere sorrow and sadness that I express my deepest condolences to you and Robert’s family. Heaven truly does rule, and I am sure that God’s grace and comfort will carry you through this difficult journey.
So sorry for your loss Nancy......but rejoice with your hope!!!!
I sorrow with you, Nancy, as you grieve the loss of your dear husband, Robert. You and Robert have been such an inspiration, role model, and encouragement to so many. Even in this valley, God sees every tear and promises to walk with you, carrying you when you feel too weak to stand. May His peace—beyond all understanding—guard your heart and gently sustain you, one moment at a time. You are not alone, now or ever.
Dearest Nancy, my heart weeps to hear this news about Robert. He was an image of a wonderful, lovely and godly man/husband to you. He seemed to bring joy into your eyes and you into his. I’m sure he will be missed by you and his daughters and Revive Our Hearts. May the Lord bless you and keep you, may He shine his face upon you and be gracious to you and may He give you His shalom. With much love and condolences.
Dear Nancy, My heart is heavy for you during your loss of your dear husband Robert. Yet I know that you do not grieve as those who have no hope. May you sense our Lords presence and peace in the days ahead!! Psalm 116:15 Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints! In Christ, Marcia LaCanne
Nancy Wolgemuth, Absent from the body and present with the Lord. May this scripture comfort your heart. May you find peace and comfort, even as you mourn. Our Lord and Savior is a Great Comforter. I am fervently praying for you and your family .
Dear Nancy , It is always hard for the loved ones that’s left behind but our sorrow is only for a moment . Robert is experiencing the fullness of joy in God’s presence. May our Lord keep you in peace and comfort you during this time of loss . Blessings
Dear Nancy, I have been listening to Revive for 40 years and been so blessed by the minstry! When you mentioned Robert, that was a special time! It was so romantic how you courted and eventually married❤️ I was so happy for you both even though I had never met you. Praying for His comfort in the days ahead for you!! Your sister in Christ, Denise Kerkstra
Nancy, I can only imagine the pain of losing your closest confidant here on earth and yet I also know you are rejoicing that Robert is "more alive than ever." Your post re his final moments really touched my heart and brought me to tears. The song "Come to Jesus" is one I shared with a loved one several years ago who was on his own journey towards heaven. It really gripped me. I have felt emotionally laden this past week and couldn't figure out why other than I was burdened for Robert and you. I've never personally met you or Robert, but I realized you've been a mentor to me through your many books and speaking. I am so glad a friend of mine introduced me to True Woman and that I have been able to attend or listen to at least 3 or more conferences. Thank you for being true to the Lord Nancy and following His leading. He has used you in more ways that will ever be known here on earth--to bring women either to God for the first time or into a deeper relationship with Him. Your Heaven Rules book deeply challenged me and I'm grateful to God for reminding me daily that He Rules, He's got this. He's got you right now Nancy and will continue to hold you fast in His arms as you begin your journey of grief. What an awesome God we serve! I will continue to hold you and your ministry in prayer. God is good; Heaven Rules.
Dear Nancy I know you do not know me but I have listened to revive our hearts for 12 years and your teaching has been such an encouragement and blessing to me, I feel as if you are a friend. I am so very sad to hear you have lost Robert and send you my love. I watched your wedding and was so encouraged by your prayer at the time for your 'single sisters' that we might know that Jesus is enough. He is still enough and I know you will prove that now. Praying for comfort for you and sending my love. Sarah Salkeld ( England)
Praying that you’ll sense the loving arms of the God of all comfort surrounding and holding you in the coming days, and that you find great peace and strength there, and that your precious memories with Robert will bring you joy
I'm so very thankful for the way this godly man honored his Lord. It was evident in his writing, his work with Revive Our Hearts, and his love for his wife. It's such a loss when we lose these dear men of God who are such an example and encouragement to us! Praying for Nancy and the rest of the family during these mournful times.
I pray that God gives Nancy strength and comfort as she continues to do God’s work without her beloved husband and partner in life. Prays for Robert’s children and their families for peace and comfort as only our Heavenly Father can give us.
