So sorry for your loss. My husband died unexpectedly in 2012 at the he age of 64. I never got to say goodbye to bye but I know Hod is sovereign and never makes mistakes and will always remain faithful to me. I think about your phrase that we can trust God to write our story whenever I’m going through a tough time. God bless! P.S. Your books and programs are very encouraging to me and I know Hod will use this sorrow of yours to bless others in a way you never imagined. ❤️

Dear Nancy I met you 12 years ago during a time of difficulty while I was living abroad. Since then, you have been a teacher to me, and I have set my heart on becoming a virtuous woman—one who laughs at the future because her heart trusts in the Lord. For the past few months, I have had the privilege of serving as a volunteer with Revive Our Hearts in Germany, and it is a delight every time I spend time translating the messages you have written. I met you as a single woman, I rejoiced when I heard that you were getting married, and I was able to hear Robert’s words at the last meeting in December when you were at the airport—what a blessing that was for me. Now you are beginning a new season in your life, and though there is pain, there is also hope. I know that this suffering will not be in vain. Your life and his have been a treasure to many people you cannot even imagine. Robert and you have left a great legacy. Now I pray that the Lord would lift you up, comfort you, and fill you with loving details so that today more than ever you may feel that Husband who will always be there for you. Thank you for your love for the Lord. Thank you for inspiring me to be faithful to Him.

I first discovered RoH when a mentor shared Nancy and Robert's love story, and as I was single at the time, Nancy's faithfulness and obedience in waiting on the Lord's plan was a great example and encouragement. Almost 10 years later, Nancy continues to be a model of biblical womanhood, and Robert's quiet yet powerful and prayerful presence behind her have been so sweet to witness. We are heartbroken for Nancy, their family and the RoH family, and join you in grieving with the incomparable hope of Christ. We send our loves and pray that God will demonstrate his presence and love in palpable ways in these difficult moments.

Dear Nancy, my deepest condolences to you on the loss of your beloved husband, Robert. My heart breaks for the pain and grief you’re suffering at this time. I met you and Robert in a 2019 conference. He signed your names to my copy of You Can Trust God to Write Your Story. He wrote and waited patiently as we chatted. I have a photo of this moment to cherish. I’ll also remember how gentle and attentive he was helping you on and off the stage at conferences. He portrayed an “old school charm” that inspired my heart. Your beautiful love story is one for the ages! His godly presence will be missed by all! You and Robert’s loved ones are in my prayers. May Jesus’ loving presence, peace, and arms of comfort hold you close and strengthen you now and always. Heaven rules. God is in control. With deepest love, affection, and compassion in Christ.
Dios es fiel y tiene cuidado de cada uno de sus hijos, Estimada Nancy, lamento mucho que tengas tu y todos cuantos amaban y conocían a tu esposo Robert que pasar por esta gran perdida, no obstante, es de regocijo poder leer las palabras que, basada en las escrituras has pronunciado, es mi oración y suplica a nuestro soberano Señor y Dios que continue dando fortaleza y paz a tu corazón, tu entorno familiar y a cada uno de los dolientes en general, en el dulce nombre de Jesus, oro!! I am so thankful for Robert’s life and the legacy he leaves us. Robert and Nancy have also been a witness to us all in the beautiful marriage they shared together. My prayers are with Nancy, and I rejoice that they will be re-united again one day !
Nancy, I have never met you, but I watched yours and Robert’s wedding on line years ago. It was the most beautiful wedding I had ever seen. It intensionally portrayed the relationship between Jesus Christ and His bride. It was just beautiful. I urged many people to watch it for themselves. My heart goes out to you in the loss of your DH. May God’s arms around you be a comfort is my prayer.
Through Robert and Nancy's life story, I have witnessed the love of Jesus Christ; they have been a great example. May Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit comfort Nancy's heart. I am praying for her.
My prayers will continue to be with you as you’re more of the death of your husband. You have been an inspiration to me the last six years. I’ve listened to your podcast Revive Our Hearts. It was so sweet to hear that you had met Robert and were married. I know this was such a blessing to you and your photos are wonderful.
