Dear Nancy, My heart as a wife goes out to you. I have no idea what you are going through yet, but our Lord does. He holds our days. His purposes are carried out in our sufferings. May you mourn the loss of your husband because he is absent from your presence, but rejoice that he is in the presence of our Saviour. 10 years of marriage that God has blessed you with. How good God is to us wretched sinners. Thank you for your ministry and who you are in Christ.

Robert was a mighty man of GOD and his impact on people like me will be felt long after his passing. Years ago during a difficult time in my life, Robert came along side of me to mentor, encourage and speak GOD’s Truth in to me. I still remember sitting at a restaurant with Robert when we prayed together. I had never prayed in public and at that time seldom in private. To Robert it was as natural as breathing. He was just talking to GOD. From that day forward as I walked with the LORD, my boldness and confidence to go to GOD in prayer continued to grow, even now in my senior years. I thank and praise Almighty GOD for Robert and his family and the profound impact that they have had on me and my family.
Beloved Dear Nancy, i am so thankful to God for your love for Christ and to all the Saints. I am so sorry for the loss of your Precious Husband. I grieve with you, but with Hope. Knowing that you will meet again in Heaven. Rev 14:13 And i heard a voice from Heaven saying Write these, blessed are the dead who died in the Lord, for their deeds follow them. My best memory of Robert: I was working for him at Thomas Nelson. I had hired a new admin, but between the hire and her start date, bad fiscal news led to a hiring freeze. The young lady had quit her old job, but there was now no job for her at Nelson. I told Robert about her predicament, and he said, "Have her start anyway. If necessary, I'll pay her out of my own pocket. Hopefully, we'll find her another position here soon." My admiration for him grew greatly that day.

I was a close friend of Bobbie’s growing up in Arlington, VA and attending Cherrydale Baptist Church. I have followed her life and passing as well as Robert’s. I now live in West Palm Beach where Nancy is well known. God has been honored and glorified through Robert’s life and his legacy will live on through his books.
I just came across Robert and Nancy’s wedding ceremony for the first time today. I was deeply touched by how God honouring it all was. To then see at the same time that Robert had passed into the presence of his Saviour on 10 January vexed me greatly. In all this sorrow however we rejoice in the blessed hope that we shall meet again in that beautiful land where there will be no more sickness sorrow or death and we will be forever with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I wish to express my sincere condolences to Nancy and all of Robert’s family circle. Psalm 1 v 1 The Lord is my Shepherd
To God be the glory for Robert’s preparation of passing from death to life is eternal life saving. It is what we need to give to the dying, to all of us mortals. What is the name of the book he wrote on death? Randy Alcorn wrote the forward to it. I want to order a copy. Praying God will comfort you in the days ahead. Grief has no expiration date. Your memories of Robert will even grow more precious to you. You too have lost your parents and know how precious are your memories of them. Oh, the relief to know, it is not all over. We will be with them again. There is a wonderful future, Jesus is preparing!
