1948–2026
The Lord is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid?
Psalm 27:1
With eyes full of tears, yet hearts full of hope, we share the news that Saturday morning, January 10, 2026, Robert Wolgemuth, beloved dear husband (“DH”) to Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth, departed from his earthly body and this broken world and entered into the glory of eternity with Christ. Robert was seventy-seven. He was surrounded by the prayers and support of family members and friends, with Nancy by his side, as his faith became sight.
Robert’s Home-going followed a brief but intense battle with complications from pneumonia, for which he was hospitalized since Christmas Eve, most recently in Grand Rapids, Michigan. While our hearts are filled with sorrow, we do not grieve as those who have no hope (1 Thess. 4:13), believing that those who die in the Lord will live again and that Robert has found ultimate relief and healing with Christ (Job 14:14; 19:25).
We join Nancy in giving thanks to God for the life of His servant Robert, and in repeating these words that have been so precious to Robert and Nancy and to the entire Revive Our Hearts family:
Heaven rules.
Jesus is near. In life and in death.
In lieu of flowers, a gift to Revive Our Hearts in Robert’s memory will honor his heart for the mission and message of this ministry he dearly loved and where he served hand-in-hand with Nancy for the final decade of his life.
Robert Wolgemuth (1948–2026) was the beloved dear husband (“DH”) of Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth. In addition to being the father to two grown daughters he shared with his late wife, Bobbie Wolgemuth (d. 2014), Robert was a grandfather of five and great-grandfather of three.
Following Bobbie’s death, Robert married Nancy Leigh DeMoss, founder and lead Bible teacher of Revive Our Hearts, and became Nancy’s dearest friend and confidant, prayer partner, and enthusiastic cheerleader throughout their ten years of marriage.
Robert’s career spanned more than forty years in the publishing industry, where among other notable roles,
he founded the literary agency Wolgemuth & Associates (now Wolgemuth & Wilson). He was also the best-selling author
of more than twenty books including Lies Men Believe, Gun Lap, Finish Line, and the notes to the Men’s Daily Bible.
Together, Robert and Nancy co-authored You Can Trust God to Write Your Story. His books have sold more than two million
copies, and five have received Silver Medallion Awards from the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association (ECPA).
After retiring from Wolgemuth and Associates, Robert served tirelessly alongside Nancy at Revive Our Hearts—caring for donors and encouraging staff. His love for Jesus and for Nancy was contagious, and his absence is felt keenly.
