Your Prayers Could Unleash a "War" Today

Really. Your prayers could unleash a war today. Daniel would tell you so. He was standing on the bank of the Tigris River when the answer to His prayer finally came:

Fear not, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand and humbled yourself before your God, your words have been heard, and I have come because of your words. The prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days, but Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me . . . (Daniel 10:12)

Did you catch that? His prayer was heard immediately, and this angel flew into action in order to bring him his answer.

Are you ready to give up on prayer? Does it seem like God doesn’t hear, anyway? Friend, there are realities taking place around you that you can’t see. Don’t assume the silence means you haven’t been heard. Keep persevering in prayer—your petition is being fought over!

In this particular case, the angel with the message for Daniel was held up by one of Satan’s angels. For three weeks, they duked it out—’til Michael came to this angel’s aid. I don’t know about you, but this account motivates me to pray all the more.

What are you praying for? Don’t give up! Know today that your prayers are being heard. Battles are being waged in the heavenlies. Your prayers are being used by God to fulfill His eternal purposes!
