LIVE From Indy: Conference Over, Battle Heating Up

Our team’s loading the last few boxes onto the truck, turning out the lights, and locking the doors here at the Indianapolis Convention Center. The conference is over, but the battle is just heating up. Please, please pray for the thousands of women who made fresh commitments to stop sleepwalking through life and are engaging in the battle instead. These women have just met with Jesus in an incredibly personal way, they’re physically exhausted after little sleep, and you’d better believe that the enemy wants to steal and kill and destroy them right now.

Joni and the Spirit World
Which reminds me of Joni Eareckson Tada’s message last night. She talked about how millions and millions of spirits are intently watching the ways you and I respond to suffering and pain. Ephesians 3:10 says:

His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms.

Even when we think no one is watching—when we’re tempted to give into depression in the early morning hours—we dare not. The stakes are too high. God’s reputation is on the line. When you whisper, “I choose you, Lord,” “I prefer you, Lord . . . in spite of this pain,” it’s like rubbing salt in the enemy’s wounds. You’re saying that God is worth following based on His merits alone! When they see this, the spirits think to themselves, “Woa. How great her God is to inspire such loyalty.”

Your battle is not insignificant. Your life is not insignificant. In fact, your life is a cosmic field of warfare, where the stakes are about as high and universal as you can get.

Thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him (2 Corinthians 2:14).

Why I Can’t Wait to Get on the Bus
I can’t wait for the bus ride home. I’m guessing we’ll pass the mic around and share stories of women who were transformed this week. Stories like the one I heard last night about an attendee who asked us if we would give a ticket to a homeless woman who lives under a bridge near the convention center. This woman came, wept through most of the conference, and received Jesus as her Savior and Lord!

Oh, Please Don’t Miss This
Several of you have asked if a True Woman Conference can come to your city. I wish we could! We actually only have one more True Woman Conference scheduled. It’s in Fort Worth, Texas, and begins in less than three weeks (October 14-16). Please do what you can to get there. And please pray with us for God’s clear leading as to whether we should have more of these conferences in the future.
Here are just three things I heard from women about the conference:

1. My cousin’s friend has been to many conferences, but she said this is the best one. She described it as “balanced” and “strong.”
2. I loved talking to a young wife and mom yesterday who told me how much she appreciated this ministry and conference. In her words, “It is extremely rare to find Christian women who seek after and celebrate biblical womanhood.”
3. This morning I talked with a nineteen year old who said this conference was life-changing, and revealing. She said she thought she was a “good Christian” before she came, but she realizes people haven’t been seeing the glory of Christ in her life. She said she’s made a U-turn and will be going a different direction from here on out.

Conference Audio & Video
I know many of you will not be able to make it to the final True Woman ’10 Conference in Fort Worth. So I thought I’d give you a heads-up that the best-of the audio and video will be available to purchase on our website after the final conference in Texas. Stay tuned to the blog in the future to learn more.

Thanks
I so enjoyed hearing from you this week, and knowing that you were praying for us. Thank you. I am a huge fan of you!
