Do You Believe God Wants to Do More?

Lord, Do It Again! from The Gospel Coalition on Vimeo.

“There is something more that God is wanting to do.”

Do you believe that? Or do your eyes glaze over when the word “revival” is mentioned?

A couple months ago, Collin Hansen asked Nancy Leigh DeMoss and Pastor Tim Keller why there doesn’t seem to be as much interest in revival today. You can now watch their conversation and hear their answers on this newly released video, which is well worth all thirteen minutes.

Just to whet your appetite, here are a few highlights:

Pastor Keller says, “Honestly, the best way to reach people is to show them something gorgeous.” Nancy saw something gorgeous as a 12-year-old girl when she stumbled upon several revival stories. As she read these accounts and then saw seasons in Scripture where God revealed His glory, she began to cry out, “God, would you do it again?”

After all, as Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones said, the Lord can do far more in a day than we can do in decades of planning, coordinating, and training. So . . . what can we do to bring about revival? In G. Campbell Morgan’s words, “We cannot manufacture revival, but we can set our sails to catch the wind from heaven when God chooses to blow upon His people once again.”

After you’ve watched this video, I’d love to hear from you. Does the whole topic make you feel skeptical, or does your heart beat fervently for revival? No wrong answers here—I would just love to get an accurate picture of what honest questions/thoughts you have about revival.

Then . . . watch for a fantastic post from Collin Hansen coming soon on why several leaders pray for revival. I hope you keep checking the blog regularly—we love learning alongside you!
