What is a True Woman?

A true woman is willing, serious, and determined to reflect the beauty and heart of Christ to her world. She seeks to live a God-centered life, trusting Him and saying "Yes, Lord!" She knows this is only possible by His grace, and seeks to do so in community, which is why we're so glad you stopped by.

What is the True Woman Movement?

We are believing God for a widespread personal and corporate revival and reformation among women. We long for a grassroots movement of Christ-centered revival and biblical womanhood, where women:

  • Discover and embrace God's design and mission for their lives,
  • Reflect the beauty and heart of Christ to their world,
  • Intentionally pass on the baton of Truth to the next generation, and
  • Pray earnestly for an outpouring of God's Spirit in their families, churches, nation, and world

Revive Our Hearts and the True Woman Movement is all about calling women to freedom, fullness, and fruitfulness in Christ. Thanks for journeying with us!

History of the True Woman Movement

The True Woman Movement is a worldwide, grassroots movement that was birthed on October 11, 2008, as over 6,000 women gathered in Chicago, Illinois, for the unveiling and signing of the True Woman Manifesto at Revive Our Hearts first True Woman Conference.

The seeds for this movement actually began taking shape in Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth's heart eleven years earlier as she read about the historical development of secular and religious feminism in Mary Kassian's book, The Feminist Mistake. When she realized the powerful lies that had been foisted on an entire generation of women, the pervasiveness of feminist thinking in our whole culture, and the extent to which Christian women have bought into the whole philosophy, she began to ask:

If a handful of women have succeeded by their writings and influence in destroying and brainwashing an entire generation with their godless philosophies, what could God do with a handful of women who were determined to "reclaim surrendered ground"?

Ever since the movement began in 2008, we've been watching God "reclaim surrendered ground." Over 27,000 women have attended the five True Woman national women's conferences and have left energized and equipped to encourage women in their own spheres of influence to:

  • Discover and embrace God's design and mission for their lives
  • Reflect the beauty and heart of Jesus Christ to their world
  • Intentionally pass on the baton of Truth to the next generation
  • Pray earnestly for an outpouring of God's Spirit in their families, churches, nation, and world
