Man: I was reading in the Old Testament, and sometimes God told them to go wipe out sinful nations—even women and children. It seems too harsh!

Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: It is hard for us to imagine God asking His people to do something like that. But when I think about it, what astounds me even more is that God hasn’t wiped us all out.
Every single one of us has sinned and deserves God’s wrath. But again and again, He mercifully withholds His anger. He holds back His judgment so that people will have time to repent.
What’s even more amazing is that Jesus has already accepted the wrath of God in our place. Have you put your faith in Him? Are you ready for the moment when God finally judges the world for its sin?
