Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: Ask any woman how she’s doing, and you’ll probably hear something like this:
Woman 1: There seems to be so much going on in our family!
Woman 2: I just can’t keep up with everything I’ve got to do.
Woman 3: Why does it feel like I’m so busy!?”
Nancy: I think part of the problem is that we think there’s not enough time to do everything we’re supposed to do. I often end my own day with a longer to-do list than I started with. But Jesus was different. He accomplished exactly what God wanted Him to accomplish.
Listen to His prayer in John 17: “I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work You have given Me to do.” Jesus didn’t try to do everything, and we shouldn’t either.
All we have to do is the work God assigns to us. What a freedom it is to know that there’s enough time to do everything that’s on God’s to-do list for my day.
