Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: If you’re a child of God, there’s a war going on inside of you. Between your natural flesh . . .
Woman 1: Would you kids hurry up! You are so slow!
Nancy: . . . and the indwelling Spirit of God.
Woman 1: Okay, that does look fun. Let’s play for one minute, and then we’ve got to go.
Nancy: Our natural flesh is opposed to God.
Woman 2: You know I don’t like the dishes stacked this way.
Nancy: But the Spirit of God is transforming our desires.
Woman 2: Thanks for helping in the kitchen tonight.
Nancy: So on the one hand, we want to appease the cravings of our flesh.
Woman 3: Did you hear the latest about Deborah?
Nancy: Yet the Spirit pulls us toward obedience and righteousness.
Woman 4: I’ll bet if we heard her side of the story, it’d be different.
Nancy: Romans 8 says, “If you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.” Ask God to help you walk in the Spirit today and to put your flesh to death by His power.
