Young woman: Hi. I want to serve God with my life, but I’m not sure what that should look like. I have a lot of different interests, and I like to plan things out. But when I look at my own future, all I see is, like, this big, gray fog! How do I know what’s best?
Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: You know, we all have to ask that question at times. What we’d like is if God would give us an agreement with all the details filled in. But surrendering to Him is more like signing a blank piece of paper. We hand it back and say, “Lord, You fill in the details.” Now, that might seem risky, but in the eternal scheme of things, we truly have nothing to lose because God is completely trustworthy. God will fill in the details of our lives with His incredible wisdom, faithfulness, and love. Remember the words from Proverbs 3, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart” (v. 5).
