Pike's Peak Cog Railway

Image

The Ride

Experience a 3.5 hour round-trip journey—a nine-mile adventure, 14,115 feet in altitude, and sweeping 360-degree views.

Pikes Peak Cog Railway says,

Rumble along Ruxton Creek in Englemann Canyon, past Minnehaha Falls, through Deer Park, and through the Mountain View siding where you get your first glimpse of the Summit. Beautiful scenery, a range of wildlife, an extraordinary adventure—you won’t be disappointed.

The Summit

Enjoy sweeping 360-degree views of the Pikes Peak region, from the far eastern plains to the Continental Divide along the snow-capped Rocky Mountains to the west.

The railway says,

You’re bound to catch a few sightings of some of our favorite wildlife friends: elk, deer, yellow-bellied marmot, moose and maybe an occasional bear or mountain lion; plus Pikes Peak is home to one of Colorado’s largest bighorn sheep herds.
