Persecution
“Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account” (Matt. 5:11). In modern America, we may not know much first-hand about undergoing deep persecution for our faith (yet). The truth is, though, that Christ promises it will come. As believers, we are called to stand firm in our faith regardless of what it costs us, keeping eternity in our minds-eye.
