Woman 1: Right now, I’m training for a marathon. I never thought I could get to this point, but I actually think I can do it!
Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: Endurance is built, little by little, by pressing through the difficulties.
Woman 2: My dad’s sickness is just wiping me out emotionally. I don’t know how I’m going to keep going.
Nancy: When you face a challenging situation through God’s power, it’s kind of like waking up to run on a cold morning. God may be leading you through the trial because He has bigger battles for you up ahead. Maybe He’s training you for a marathon.
When God led the children of Israel out of slavery in Egypt, He knew they were going to battle some giants. So He led them into the desert to teach them endurance.
It turned out to be a spiritual fitness program. Maybe He’s doing the same thing in your life right now. Would you trust Him? Someday you’ll be able to see exactly what He had in mind.
