Man: I knew someone who claimed to be a Christian, but he was the meanest guy I ever knew! I never want to be like him.
Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: Wouldn’t it be terrible if someone were discouraged from following Christ because of something they’d seen in us?
Man: God finally brought someone into my life who told me the truth. More importantly, he lived it.
Nancy: Do you know what your friends and family need from you more than anything else? It isn’t your friendship or your acts of service. It’s not all your Bible knowledge. They need to see in you a reflection of what God is like.
Jesus prayed for His disciples and He said, “For their sake I consecrate myself, that they also may be sanctified.” Jesus chose the pathway of holiness for our sake, so we could be made holy. Are you doing the same thing? Remember, other people are watching.
