• Submission is being responsive to your husband’s initiative and leadership. That implies the willingness to trust God and defer to your husband because you realize that God is the One who is really in charge.
  
• You can obey outwardly but have a resistant, cold spirit that punishes your husband emotionally by your being manipulative and controlling. You know what’s likely to happen? He’s likely to back down. Then you say, “Why doesn’t he lead?”
• Our willingness to place ourselves under God-ordained authority is the greatest evidence of how big we believe God is.
